Tour summary
This trek is built for hikers who want to go longer, faster, and farther — without sacrificing safety or comfort. Full vehicle support keeps the distance flexible: walk every kilometer if you want or jump into a 4x4 whenever you need a shorter day.
The route delivers big days and even bigger rewards. You’ll move through crisp high-altitude air, untouched valleys, and constantly shifting views — wide green basins, rocky passes, and the snow-crowned peak of Tsambagarav. Even the tough stretches feel worthwhile when every turn opens into another raw, cinematic landscape.
The cultural side runs just as deep. You’ll meet Kazakh nomadic families, share tea in their homes, and see how life unfolds beside massive mountains. Spending time near eagle hunters is a standout moment — the kind of encounter that stays with you long after the trek ends.
Round-trip domestic flights keep logistics simple: fly from Ulaanbaatar to Ulgii, explore Mt. Tsast Uul and the dramatic Khovd River Valley on foot, then return to the capital after the journey. With strong support, high mountains, and authentic culture, this is a straightforward, no-nonsense trekking adventure across Western Mongolia.
